It's been just over 2 weeks since I last posted anything about my life. Several things have happened, but I won't bore y'all with all the details....

Let's just say that another cool moment I have experienced with my job was meeting and interpreting for some political figures. I was able to interpret for Utah's Senator, Mr. Orrin Hatch, and also meet Karen Hughes. I showed up for that appointment completely and blissfully unaware of exactly who and for what I was going to be interpreting. So it was a totally awesome experience.

My continued love affair with the Harry Potter books has come to a screeching and anxious halt. I have read the entire series over the last month, except for the 7th and final book, due to the fact that it is still in hard cover only, and you have to pay an arm and a leg if you want to read it and own it at the same time. I bought the first 6 books from Walmart, making it no big deal to purchase them. Given the fact that I purchased the first 5 for the same price as the hardcover 7th book, this is the obvious reason why I am anxiously awaiting for the last one to come out in paper back. (We'll see how long this lasts, given that I am not the most patient person)

For the last several weeks, my husband and I haven't seen a lot of one another due to work and crazy busy schedules. So this last weekend was totally ours for the enjoying. We just spent the entire weekend together, had fun, and relaxed. On Saturday we went down to the Salt Lake City Hogle Zoo, because we wanted to see the "Ghost of the Bayou" exhibit. It is a rare white alligator that seems to be a "traveling" exhibit, and was here most of the summer, and will be leaving in the coming weeks. It was pretty cool to see it. We took some pics, which I will either post on my facebook page or here, I am just not sure yet! The inside of the exhibit was really humid (reminded me of my beloved Texas) and it had a lot of plants that you see when you visit a place like Brazos Bend State Park in Houston, and it made me seriously homesick.

Speaking of homesick, it has yet again been another long time since I have been back, and after I explain a new development, those visits will probably become few and far between!

A few weeks ago, I got a call from my parents saying that they were looking for a job in Denver, Colorado. My dad has been with a certain company for a while now, but feels it is time he and my mom return back to their beloved state of Colorado, (or somewhere closer to the mountains and their kids) and so my dad sent out his resume, and landed an interview with a company in Denver. They haven't given real go ahead with everything, but it looks like the chances are pretty good they will be moving soon in the next 3 to 4 months, possibly even sooner if need be. This comes with both excitement at having them closer but also at a loss for words when it comes to facing the reality that they won't live in the house that I grew up in anymore. I mean nothing is set in stone just yet, but my heart breaks a little just thinking about it. But in the end it would be so much better to have them closer in order to see them more than once a year. They would just be a few more hours away than we are from Brandon's parents in Idaho. So we will see, and I will keep y'all posted (for those of you who really care that is) and we will see that pans out from all this.

Other than that, nothing is really new with us. We are having Brandon's parents come visit for a week or so, staying up in Eden, UT, which is gorgeous by the way, but it will be good to see them!

Love to you all!

Lisa
